Mohsen Zarkesh
Mohsen Zarkesh is the Principal Attorney at the firm who specializes in U.S. trade and economic sanctions at the Zarkesh Law Firm, P.C. Mr. Zarkesh brings years of focused trade and OFAC sanctions law experience to the firm.
Mr. Zarkesh has worked extensively on OFAC licenses, compliance programs, due diligence research, unblocking applications, voluntary self-disclosures, OFAC administrative subpoenas, SDN List removals, and sanctions-related criminal defense matters.
Mr. Zarkesh has represented domestic, foreign, and multinational clients in the agricultural, aviation, defense, electronics, entertainment, food, oil and gas, humanitarian, industrial machinery, medical device, mining, pharmaceutical, and transportation sectors.
Mr. Zarkesh is a Juris Doctor graduate from the Washington College of Law at American University. In law school, his focus was on the intersection of international trade compliance, international business, and transactional law. Mr. Zarkesh competed in transactional law competitions in the United States while representing his law school. He also attended the International Trade Law Program in Geneva, Switzerland, where he studied World Trade Organization rule-making and dispute settlement. Mohsen graduated from George Mason University Cum Laude with a Bachelors’s degree in Government and International Politics.
