Saba Bagherzadeh
Saba Bagherzadeh is an international attorney with experience in economic sanctions, international commercial transactions, immigration, international financial crimes, and compliance. She holds a Master of Laws degree from Fordham Law School in corporate, banking, and financial law, with an additional concentration on corporate compliance. As a visiting scholar at Fordham Law School, she researched the nexus between economic sanctions, national security, and humanitarian law. Ms. Bagherzadeh is admitted to the bar in New York and her practice is limited to matters before federal agencies such as OFAC. Saba is a legal trainee at the Zarkesh Law Firm.
An accomplished author, Saba has made significant contributions to legal scholarship with two articles: “Unilateral Economic Sanctions and Protecting U.S. National Security,” published in the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review, and “Multinational Corporations’ Responsibility for Tortious and Human Rights Violations, A Comparative Study,” published in the Cardozo International and Comparative Law Review.
Prior to relocating to the United States, Saba earned more than ten years of experience in Iran, where she served as a Managing Associate attorney in a prominent law firm, PraeLegal Iran, focusing on Corporate Law, Commercial Transactions, and Compliance. Additionally, Saba contributed to several legislative initiatives, including “Legal Protection of Children at Risk” and “Legal Protection of Women’s Safety”, in collaboration with international organizations such as UNICEF and UNDP. She has made significant contributions to the World Bank and the World Justice projects throughout her career as an expert.
